Welcome to Fairford Men's Shed

Over £1,200 raised for the British Legion Poppy Appeal at Bunny’s Garage Workshop Clearance.

On Saturday 11th November club members, together with members of the Fairford Mens Shed, neighbours and friends met at Bunny Lees-Smith garage and workshop in Hankerton to help sort out and dispose of the amazing collection of tools and motoring memorabilia he has collected over the years. Whilst on one hand it was a sad occasion for Bunny, on the other hand he could see that many of the tools would find good homes and continue to be used in the future. Through this many of Bunny’s memories will live on, in particular through the wall of rally plates (see photo), from car rallies undertaken by Bunny and which are now displayed on ‘Bunny’s Wall’ at Harry’s (Steve Harding’s grandson) home. As the day coincided with the 11th November it was suggested that those selecting tools etc, could make a donation to the British Legion which resulted in an amazing £1,200 being collected for the charity - well done everyone and a gesture much appreciated by Bunny.
